Welcome Message
I want to welcome you all to science class this year! I am looking forward to working with you this year. On this website you will find information for your classes and helpful resources. Select your class from the drop down menu above in order to find information specific to your class.
Required Materials for all Classes
- Chromebook/laptop provided by the school + charger
- Pens/pencils
- Folder
- 1 subject notebook
- sweater (if you tend to get cold easily)
Assignments
- Your assignments will be posted on Google Classroom. You should submit your assignments on google classroom. Late assignments will have 10 points subtracted per day.
- Late assignments will lose 10 points per day.
- Incomplete assignments: Points will be deducted for all blank questions.
Missed Classes/Absences:
- If you are in school but miss a class, you must bring a pass and make up the work you missed.
- If you are absent from school, you must make up the work you missed.
- You will have 2 days per day absent to make up the work without penalty.
- If you are absent the day an assignment is due, you must turn it in when you return to class.
- Students must get permission to miss class for shop functions or club activities. The student's grade must be a 70 or greater in order to have the request approved. If there is a test or quiz that day, they must take the test or quiz first. In addition, they must make up any work that was missed.
Lateness:
- Students must arrive in class before the late bell.
- Students who arrive late should have a pass in order for their lateness to be excused.
- Students who arrive late will have 5 points deducted from their class participation grade.
Grading Policy:
The grading system for Environmental Science is as follows:
Tests/Quizzes 50%
Labs/Projects 35%
Classwork /Homework 20%

Academic Integrity
- All students should complete their own work.
- If students are copying work from each other they will be graded as follows:
- First offense: Student will be given a warning
- Second offense: Students will share the grade for the assignment. A grade of 100 will result in a grade of 50 for 2 students who copied each other's work.
- Third offense: Automatic Zero
- First offense: Student will be given a warning
